How Shockwave Therapy Works

Shockwave therapy (ESWT — Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy) uses targeted acoustic pressure waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing response.

The treatment helps improve blood flow, encourage tissue repair and support recovery in chronic tendon and fascia injuries.

Sessions are short, usually around 10–15 minutes, and many patients experience improvement after a course of treatments.

Shockwave therapy is commonly used for conditions that have not improved with rest, stretching or traditional treatment approaches.
