Knee Pain

Knee pain is rarely caused by the knee alone. Hip mechanics, foot posture and lumbar spine function all influence how load is distributed through the knee — and all need to be assessed

COMMON CONDITIONS

Iliotibial band (ITB) syndrome · Patellar tendinopathy (jumper’s knee) · Patellofemoral pain syndrome · Knee osteoarthritis · Meniscal irritation · Bursitis · Post-surgical knee stiffness · Runner’s knee

HOW WE TREAT IT

Treatment begins with a biomechanical assessment of the full lower limb — not just the knee. We evaluate hip strength and mobility, foot and ankle mechanics, and lumbar spine function, then treat the primary driver rather than just the local symptom. Depending on your presentation, treatment may include chiropractic mobilisation of the knee, hip and lumbar spine, dry needling for ITB tightness and quadriceps trigger points, and shockwave therapy for patellar tendinopathy.
