Shoulder Pain

Shoulder pain is rarely just a shoulder problem. We assess the full shoulder complex — the joint, the
surrounding musculature, the cervical spine, and the movement patterns that may be driving the issue.

COMMON SHOULDER CONDITIONS WE SEE

Rotator cuff tendinitis and tears · Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) · Shoulder impingement syndrome · Acromioclavicular joint pain · Bicipital tendinopathy · Post-surgical shoulder stiffness · Sports-related shoulder injuries · Neck-referred shoulder pain

HOW WE TREAT IT

The shoulder complex involves the glenohumeral joint, the scapula, the cervical spine and the thoracic spine — all of which need to be assessed, not just the area of pain. Treatment typically combines chiropractic mobilisation of the shoulder and thoracic spine, dry needling or acupuncture targeting the rotator cuff muscles and surrounding trigger points, and movement rehabilitation to restore full function.
For calcific tendinitis specifically, shockwave therapy has strong evidence and is available at the clinic as part of the treatment plan.
